You no longer have to switch trains! In the spring of 2020, Eurostar will run directly from Amsterdam and Rotterdam to the British capital. That will save you travel time. #2 Enjoy the summer in Southern Europe

Skip the black Saturdays in France and have a relaxing trip this summer with Thalys to the south of France. And did you know that it's easy to travel by train from Paris to all your favourite destinations? Bordeaux is just two hours away. Italy is also within easy reach: travel with TGV to Turin and Milan or take the Thello night train to Venice.

#3 As free as a bird with Interrail

Take a month to hop from Berlin to Prague and then on to Vienna. Or wander around beautiful Slovenia for two weeks. With the right Interrail Pass, Europe will be at your feet! Which hotspots are on your wish list?

#4 On an adventure by train

Are you excited by the thought of being hoisted into the air while in the train? Then feel free to take the night train to Ukraine, which departs from Vienna every day. Then take the Caledonian Sleeper in London. This night train will take you through the Scottish Highlands to destinations such as Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

    #5 The night train is back

    By the end of 2020, you will be able to travel from Amsterdam to Austria by night train. The final destination is beautiful Vienna, a great place for a city trip. Or would you prefer to travel on to Venice, Slovenia or Croatia? Beautiful destinations that can easily be reached by train from Vienna. Until then, you can also hop on the night train in Dusseldorf and Berlin. From Brussels, a night train leaves for Vienna twice a week as of the end of January.

    # 2 Thalys to the south of France departs from Amsterdam Central Station every Saturday in the summer. Tickets for the entire season are on sale as of 6 February 2020. The TGV to Bordeaux departs from Paris Montparnasse several times a day. In the summer, Thalys runs directly from Brussels to Bordeaux. The TGV to Italy leaves from Paris Gare de Lyon 3 times a day. If you travel with Thalys to Paris Gare du Nord, you have to catch the metro to get to the right station. On the website, you can book your tickets up to 4 months in advance. The Thello night train departs from Paris to Venice every day. In Paris, you take the metro from Gare du Nord to Gare de Lyon where your train departs. Tickets can be booked by telephone (+31 (0)30-2300023).

    # 3 Interrail passes are for sale on the website.

    # 5 The Austrian Railways’ night train is called ÖBB Nightjet. Tickets can be booked 180 days before departure. Book as early as possible, as the cheapest fares often sell out quickly. Tickets can be booked by telephone (+31 (0)30-2300023) and at the International desks at the station.
