By the end of 2020, you will be able to travel from Amsterdam to Austria by night train. The final destination is beautiful Vienna, a great place for a city trip. Or would you prefer to travel on to Venice, Slovenia or Croatia? Beautiful destinations that can easily be reached by train from Vienna. Until then, you can also hop on the night train in Dusseldorf and Berlin. From Brussels, a night train leaves for Vienna twice a week as of the end of January.

# 2 Thalys to the south of France departs from Amsterdam Central Station every Saturday in the summer. Tickets for the entire season are on sale as of 6 February 2020. The TGV to Bordeaux departs from Paris Montparnasse several times a day. In the summer, Thalys runs directly from Brussels to Bordeaux. The TGV to Italy leaves from Paris Gare de Lyon 3 times a day. If you travel with Thalys to Paris Gare du Nord, you have to catch the metro to get to the right station. On the website, you can book your tickets up to 4 months in advance. The Thello night train departs from Paris to Venice every day. In Paris, you take the metro from Gare du Nord to Gare de Lyon where your train departs. # 5 The Austrian Railways’ night train is called ÖBB Nightjet. Tickets can be booked 180 days before departure. Book as early as possible, as the cheapest fares often sell out quickly. Tickets can be booked by telephone (+31 (0)30-2300023) and at the International desks at the station.
