Antwerp is bustling. You can go crazy shopping, from fashion to diamonds. And then all the dining options! On the other hand: Brussels is a metropolis. There is so much to do and see between the imposing buildings of the European Parliament and the statue of Manneken Pis. It’s up to you: For € 17.50, are you going to travel to Antwerp or Brussels?
Cultural must sees & do’s
There are plenty of cultural things to do in Antwerp. Visit the Fashion Museum or the Museum On the Stream: both winners! In Brussels you won’t have to sit still: what about the Museum of Natural Sciences or the Margritte Museum? Whichever city you choose, they have one thing in common: they are both a sight for sour eye. Two big open-air museums!
You can eat food at every corner in Antwerp, from snacks to starred restaurants. Burgundians must definitely go to 't Zuid, a neighbourhood with many restaurants and cafés. And you can expect no less in Brussels because here you can also enjoy culinary delights. What is the place to be for food-lovers? Without a doubt: the Dansaertwijk! It is clear that they love good food everywhere in Belgium!
In Antwerp, you can leave the station and go right into a shop. The Meir has the most and nicest shops. In Brussels, we can recommend Louisalaan. Take a big wallet because this is the high street of Brussels! Fortunately, there are also affordable shops nearby. Having difficulty choosing between Antwerp and Brussels? There are sales in January and in July. Perhaps you can go to one city in the winter and the other in the summer? You’ll have all the winter and summer clothes you need!
