Practical information for
Changing trains in Paris
If you are travelling to France with TGV you will have to change trains in Paris. With Thalys you will travel from Amsterdam Central, Schiphol and Rotterdam Central on the high-speed track to Paris Gare du Nord. There you take the metro. Metro tickets are available at the bar carriage on Thalys or from the vending machines at the stations (bring enough loose change). Your layover in Paris is about an hour; the booking module takes this into account.
To Dijon and Lausanne
From Paris Gare du Nord take the RER line D towards Corbeil Essonnes, to Paris Gare de Lyon station, where TGVs depart to several destination in the (south)east of France. You can find more information in the download: a PDF with detailed transfer information from Gare du Nord to Gare de Lyon.
From Paris Gare du Nord take metro line 4 to Mairie de Montrouge, to Gare de l'Est station. Walking from Gare du Nord to Gare de l'Est is also possible, the stations are located close to each other and the are signs to lead the way.
