Summer of Sport 2024
Are you, like us, eagerly anticipating the summer of sport in 2024? Football in Germany. Tennis in London. Cycling in France. And the most significant events in virtually all sporting disciplines in Paris.
And do you know what the very best part about this summer of sport is?
All of these sporting events can be easily reached by train from the Netherlands this time.
Cheer on TeamNS in Paris
We have been long-time 'Supporter van Bewegen', Supporter of Movement. Heptathlete Anouk Vetter is one of our ambassadors, encouraging us to keep moving. In Paris, you have the opportunity to cheer on Anouk Vetter and all the other Dutch sports heroes. The flame will be lit on July 26th, 2024.
Can you imagine standing by the roadside at the finish line of the marathon, or attending the new sport of breakdancing? Even if you can't secure tickets, you will enjoy the unique atmosphere and many events in Paris.
Cheering for our Paralympic athletes in Paris
The event will take place in Paris from 28 August to 8 September 2024, bringing together 4,400 of the world's most outstanding athletes. Eurostar is also providing transport for the Paralympians to Paris.
In other French cities too
Most sports will be in and around Paris. However, there are exceptions for some sports. In addition to Paris, football will be played in Lille, Lyon, Nantes, Nice, Marseille, Toulouse, and Saint-Etienne. There will also be sailing in Marseille.
Football in Germany
We are at it again! The Dutch national team has qualified for the European Championship in Germany next summer. From 14 June 2024, the orange festivities will once again erupt during an ultimate sports summer. With as many as ten stadiums in ten different playing cities, Germany has been chosen as the host country. The Dutch team will play in Hamburg, Leipzig and Berlin, and all these playing cities can be reached comfortably by train. Kick off your football party on the train and be there!
