In most countries, children 3 years or younger may almost always travel along for free. However, they do not have the right their own seat. Children between the ages of 6 and 11 years may usually travel with a children's ticket, which is 50% of the full fare. They then have the right to their own seat.
TIP: If you want your child of 3 or younger to be guaranteed a seat, purchase a children's ticket.
