With Thalys or Intercity Brussels, you can reach your destination within half a day. Without traffic jams or parking problems. A comfortable seat, catering on board, and most trains have wifi. You can enjoy that as a trian passenger, can't you? Travel in relaxation for a weekend in the Ardennes.
Active weekend Ardennen
Are you a cycling enthusiast? In the Ardennes you will find a few strong 'calf biteers'. Take your bike with you on the train and conquer the legendary Stockeu. Or would you prefer to kayak on the Ourthe near La Roche? You can also go hiking there. Have fun, because on the train your can relax those tired limbs.
Enjoy a Burgundian weekend
Think of the catering on board as your starter, if you want to indulge in Belgian culinary delights. Your taste buds will be tickled every evening in a top restaurant. Try a freshly brewed beer at the Chouffe brewery in Achouffe and relax at the Spa thermal baths. You don't have to worry about a thing, because you will be brought home anyway!
Soaking up culture in the Ardennes?
How many cities do you want to visit during your weekend break? Make sure to add the medieval town of Durbuy on your list. Follow in the footsteps of the Second World War in the War Museum at Bastogne or wander through the Gardens of Annevoie. And all those beautiful photos you will take? You can scroll through and edit them on the train!
Ardennes with the family
Children need to have fun. Well they can! What about the waterfalls of Coo, where Plopsaland happens to be located? Or dive into the spectacular caves of Han. We are sure that your children will be able to explain the difference between stalagmites and stalactites to you on the train ride back!
